This Privacy Policy applies to personal information provided or obtained on artandinquiry.com, A&I social media sites, public events, and all other Art & Inquiry digital media ("Sites"), including any mobile application that may be offered by the Art & Inquiry.

Collection and Use of Information

We may collect the following information when you use the Sites: Contact and Content Upload Information. When you contact us using one of our online contact forms, we receive the messages you send as well as the personal information you provide, such as your name, phone number, and email address. If you upload a digital photo or written content to any of the Sites, we also receive any personal information you submit along with that upload. We use this information only for ordinary Art & Inquiry event purposes, such as to respond to your inquiries, sign the Art & Inquiry Guest Book, send you information concerning your participation in Museum activities and programs, and for posting of information on the Art & Inquiry Site as requested by you. With your permission, we may also send you A&I-related news and information that we believe may be of interest to you.

When you sign Art & Inquiry Guest Book, in addition to providing your email address, you may also choose to provide your postal address and phone number. While this private information is not required or shared with third parties unless assisting us with promoting a A&I event or promotion (see "Information Sharing" below), Art & Inquiry may collect and use this information to keep you updated on A&I news and events.

We record your A&I-related activities as reported by you, as well as preferences you provide, events you've attended, and comments you've made. If you participate using SMS text or email addresses, we collect the mobile phone number or email address used by you for authentication purposes and to respond to your message. We may also collect geolocational information associated with mobile phone participation, but we will ask for your permission first.

We only review publicly-available content or content as to which we or our service provider have a license. If we wish to re-publish any social media content associated with a social media username or "handle" provided by you on a museum website or social media page, we will contact you first for permission.

We may send you emails periodically with information about Art & Inquiry, including news about uncoming events, as well as about books, education programs, and exhibitions. You may opt-out of these emails at any time. Also, if you indicate your permission on the artandinquiry.com website or at any A&I museum kiosk, we may communicate with you by SMS text message regarding Art & Inquiry until or unless you opt out of receiving such messages.

Information Sharing

We may sometimes provide personal information to other providers of educational events such as musuems and educators so that they may assist us in connection with A&I event promotion, art openings, fundraising, or otherwise in connection with providing services or merchandise to you. However, we require that those providers use personal information only for that purpose, and we require our providers to provide assurances that they will appropriately protect personal information entrusted to them.

We also may disclose information concerning you if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to protect and defend our rights or property, or those of other users of the Sites.
